While we all look forward to summer vacations, some of us may be stuck working. Hosting a meeting or conference in MA over the summer does not have to be a drag! Sometimes all it takes to get motivated is a change of scenery. A place, where you can dedicate time to teach, learn and listen without distractions. Both the Forefront Center for Meetings and Conferences and the Four Points by Sheraton Norwood excel at making last minute bookings stress-free. The Forefront Center for Meetings and Conferences and the Four Points by Sheraton Norwood provide half day and full day package rates, onsite parking, and a personal meeting planner. Your personal meeting planner allows you to be productive, enjoy the day and collaborate with your team while we take care of the audio visual, food and beverage and anything else you may need for a successful meeting.
Once the meeting is over, stay in the area and enjoy the history, culture, and entertainment that Eastern MA has to offer! If you met at the Forefront Center for Meetings and Conferences in Waltham, take a long walk by the Charles River, stop by the Charles River Museum of Industry and Innovation and then have dinner on Moody Street. And, if you are up for a late night, catch a movie at the Embassy Cinema.
The Four Points by Sheraton Norwood provides a lot of indoor entertainment with onsite restaurants and an indoor pool, so you do not even have to leave the hotel to have a great time! Do yourself a favor and dine at the One Bistro, you will not regret it. And, if you do feel like getting out, head to the Blue Hills Reservation for some hiking or some shopping at Legacy Place. Are you a beer lover? Norwood has two local breweries within a mile from the hotel, Castle Island Brewing and Percival Brewing Company. And, just a short drive away you’ll find Trillium Brewery in Canton, MA. One thing is for sure, The Forefront Center for Meetings and Conferences and the Four Points by Sheraton Norwood will help you enjoy your summer meeting!

Jaime has 2 very active little girls who love going on adventures! The Blue Hills reservation during winter, Southwick Zoo in Mendon during spring, Nantasket Beach or Wrentham Outlets in the summer and apple picking in the fall, are just a few of their favorites! Another favorite of theirs is to visit Newport, RI where they were married in 2015. The Cliff walks and Newport Mansion tours are always fun, but there are tons of restaurants and shops where you can spend your day!

Caitlin Manning –Sales Manager at the Forefront Center for Meetings and Conferences
Caitlin was raised in the outskirts of Boston and purchased her first home in 2017 about 20 minutes from where she grew up, she now considers herself a New Englander for life. After going to school for Hospitality and Tourism Management, Caitlin started working at the Four Points by Sheraton Norwood in 2011 as a front desk associate. Now, Caitlin serves as the Sales Manager at the Forefront Center for Meetings and Conferences, our sister property in Waltham.
In her downtime, Caitlin enjoys spending time with my family and friends, being outdoors, gardening and going on local road trips! My road trips usually consist of places that serve delicious food. Another fun fact, Caitlin loves food! Spending a good amount of the past decade in both Waltham and Norwood, Caitlin has found some local gems that deserve to be mentioned:
- Best Burger – One Bistro!
- Best Sandwiches – Molti On Moody!
- Best Pupusas – Mi Tierra!
Caitlin also loves to go shopping and is always looking for a great deal. The Winsmith Mill Market and the Space Center, both in Norwood, is a collection of antique shops located in a large warehouse, so the antiques are literally never-ending! And, if you love bargain shopping like Caitlin, check out Frugal Fannies, right off Route 1 in Dedham – you will not regret it. We hope you’ll take a chance to check out some of these great places to visit!
