Our Sustainable Meeting Rooms:
We are proud of being a top choice for a sustainable meeting venue. Each of the meeting rooms at the Norwood Conference Center are equipped with motion censored automatic energy efficient fluorescent LED lighting. We have programmable thermostats for each individual room and programmed based on occupancy Providing white boards on at least 2 walls of each space eliminates the need for excessive flipchart paper use. Poland Spring waters stations are included in each meeting room and communal lounge areas help eliminate food waste.
How You Can Help?
Want to make your next event a more sustainable meeting? Here are a few tips to pass along to your attendees
- Remind attendees to bring their own reusable water bottle and thermos. Our Lounge areas feature soda and juice machines as well as coffee urns. If they forget, urge guests to use the ceramic mugs provided rather than the recycled cups. Each meeting room contains a Poland Spring water jug where they can refill their own bottle.
- Focus on utilizing wall mounted white boards rather than paper flip charts for planning sessions.
- Provide a QR code rather than printed hand outs for your sessions- you can display this on our screen and projectors which are all included in your package!
- Encourage attendees to carpool to the meeting, or take public transportation. The Norwood Central Commuter rail station is less than 2.5 miles from our building. Our hotel shuttle is available for pick ups at Norwood Central Monday-Thursday 7am-9:30pm and 7am-7pm Friday-by having guests call 781-769-7900.
- Build in wellness breaks during your day-there is a lovely walking path behind the Norwood Conference Center to allow guests to reconnect with nature.
